Specimen preparation equipment for green sand

  • The Sand Rammer is used to prepare a standard 50mm Dia x50 mm height specimen (1" Dia x 1" height specimen optional on demand) and to determine the compactability of prepared molding sand. The sand specimen prepared with sand rammer is generally further used to in various tests such permeability, compressive strength, shear strength, Friability Test etc. It is also used with CO2 (Silicate sand) to ram Tensile and Transverse specimen as well.

Advantage is it lets the sand fill in from fixed distance and riddles it before filling.  It avoids compression of the sand which may occur if we fill the specimen tube with hands and can effect compactibility readings heavily.

  • VCAT-I comes to your rescue when you wish to monitor health of sand system on a continuous bases. The equipment can be integrated with Sand plant to acquire sample with help of Online Sampling attachment (VSAMPLE), test the results and store them in PC for further retrieval and analysis.
  • VCAT-II comes to your rescue when you wish to monitor health of sand system on a continuous bases by measuring compactability, Moisture, relative permeability and Mould Strength. The equipment can be integrated with Sand plant to acquire sample with help of Online Sampling attachment (VSAMPLE), test the results and store them in PC for further retrieval and analysis.
