VSync Local Server is Windows software that turns one PC on the plant’s own network into the VSync server. The V-Sync units on the sand testing machines send their readings to that PC instead of the VSync cloud, so your sand test readings stay inside your plant.
Who it is for. Foundries whose policy keeps production data inside the plant, and plants with weak or no internet. Until now these plants were served by a hand-built PC or a small box. This replaces that with a packaged product.
The screens on this page come from a trial installation and show demonstration data, not a customer’s readings.

What it does
- The same VSync screens and reports, on the plant’s own network: dashboards, reports and machine set-up, opened from any PC in the plant.
- V-Sync units find the server on their own, and take their time from it.
- Readings are stored at the correct plant time, even when a unit’s clock is wrong. The unit’s own time is kept with the record.
- The server starts with the PC and backs itself up every night.
- A nightly recovery file helps rebuild the site on a new PC if the old one fails, and it can be copied to a USB drive or a network folder. The file is locked with the plant’s password, and Versatile can open it on request.
- A health page shows whether units, backups and disk space are in order.
- One installer, about 5 minutes.

What a plant needs
| A PC | A 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 PC on the plant network that stays switched on |
|---|---|
| V-Sync units | Firmware 3.0.3 or later. Versatile updates older units during installation |
| Internet | Not needed for day to day use. Report emails and the CaRe 101 link do need it |
| Installation | By a Versatile engineer, working with the plant’s IT |
| Version | 0.3.0, released October 2026. First plant installations are under way |
Cloud or local
The same VSync screens and reports are used either way. Existing V-Sync units can be reused; Versatile updates them during installation. The units can be moved between the VSync cloud and a local server later, and readings already recorded stay where they were recorded.
Features that reach outside the plant do not work without an internet connection: report emails, the CaRe 101 link, AI insights and live readings on the calibration QR page. In version 0.3.0 their menu items still appear.
How it is supplied
- Licensed per machine connected through V-Sync units. Pay once, and it keeps working.
- Yearly support covers updates and help. When support ends the software keeps working, and renewed support is needed for newer versions.
- A 30-day trial, with every feature and no limit on the number of machines.
- Supplied through Versatile. An engineer installs it with the plant’s IT, updates the V-Sync units and adds the machines. There is no public download.
- Prices are not published.
Questions we are asked
Does the plant need an internet connection?
Not for day to day use. Readings, dashboards, reports and machine set-up all work on the plant’s own network. Features that reach outside the plant do need the internet: report emails, the CaRe 101 link, AI insights and live readings on the calibration QR page.
What happens if the server PC fails?
A recovery file is made every night and can be copied to a USB drive or a network folder. It helps rebuild the site on another PC, with the readings, logins and V-Sync units as they were in the last recovery file. The file is locked with the plant’s password, and Versatile can open it on request.
Can we keep the V-Sync units we already have?
Existing V-Sync units can be reused; Versatile updates them during installation. Firmware 3.0.3 or later is needed, and older units are updated at the same visit.
Can we change our mind later?
The units can be moved between the VSync cloud and a local server later. Readings already recorded stay where they were recorded.
Are the screens the same as the VSync cloud?
The same VSync screens and reports are used, on the plant’s own network. The features that need the internet, listed above, do not work without it, and in version 0.3.0 their menu items still appear.
What if a unit’s clock is wrong?
The reading is stored at the correct plant time, and the unit’s own time is kept with the record.
How long does installation take?
One installer, about 5 minutes, plus the time to update the units and add the machines. A Versatile engineer does this with the plant’s IT.
Is there a price list?
Prices are not published. A 30-day trial is available, with every feature and no limit on the number of machines. Ask for a quotation.
