Certified against the national standard.
A sieve is a measuring instrument, and a measuring instrument is only as good as its calibration. We inspect and certify in our own laboratory, against reference standards traceable to CSIR-NPL, the national metrology institute of India.
Aperture and wire, opening by opening.
Following ISO 3310-1, we measure the mesh aperture and the wire diameter and check them against the tolerances the standard allows. How many openings we measure, and how much we report, is what separates the three grades.
We certify the sieves we build, and we re-certify yours. A working sieve wears; periodic recalibration keeps it honest.
Compliance
Openings verified by a statistical sample against ISO 3310-1 and ASTM E11 tolerances. Issued with a certificate confirming the sieve meets the standard.
Inspection
A larger sample of openings measured and reported, with the mean aperture and spread stated. More apertures, more confidence in the number.
Calibration
The most openings measured and individually reported, for sieves that serve as reference masters or settle a dispute. The highest rigor we offer.
All three grades are measured against the same NPL-traceable references. What rises across the grades is the number of apertures verified and the detail reported, not the honesty of the mesh underneath.

Our references
Measured against reference standards and instruments held in our laboratory and kept under calibration.

Those references trace to the national metrology institute of India, closing the chain to the national standard.
A document you can hand an auditor.
Every certificate ties to the individual serial number engraved on the frame, so the paper and the sieve can never drift apart. Measured values, tolerances and the result sit on one page, with the traceability statement.
Re-certification is the other half of the story. Wire wears, frames take knocks, and apertures open up with use. A scheduled recalibration keeps a working sieve inside tolerance long after its first day.
Certificate of CalibrationSend us your sieves. We will certify them.
New sieves ship with the grade you choose. Existing sieves, ours or another maker’s, come into the laboratory for inspection and re-certification. Ask us for a schedule.
